This original print by Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley of William Shakespeare's Sonnet no.61 was commissioned by the Bodleian Library for their 400th Anniversary celebrations of Shakespeare's death in 2016. The Bodleian invited printers from all around the world to print a sonnet, creating a new collection that they now hold in their archives.
The image was made by carving a Lino block which was then printed and reduced in size before creating a polymer relief block.
This print is printed on 145gm Zerkall paper using a hand-operated Vandercook proofing press.
