Printmakers based at Oxford University's Wytham Woods: Linocut & Letterpress Cards,  Posters and Prints

Robin and Rosie set up the Wytham Studio in 2012 in the heart of the University of Oxford's research woodlands. We are tutors in printmaking at the Bodleian Library Bibliographic Press and Rosie is also an art teacher in Oxford, while Robin is an Anthropologist studying craft, creativity and art using the learning-by-doing participatory observation research method. You can follow our work in Instagram: @theWythamStudio and you can find the Japanese Woodfired Ceramics Project that Robin runs @OxfordKilns.

Our own practice is a mixture of text and images created using moveable wood and lead letterpress type or carved with gouges into Lino or wooden blocks, then printed out on one of our various presses. At our workshop in the centre of Oxford we work on have Vandercook and Heidelberg presses of various types and sizes. Rosie is a printmaker and writer, Robin is an academic. The work we put together as The Wytham Studio is were we overlap. We teach in out workshop in Oxford and in the Bodleian Bibliographic Press.
